Virgin Media’s Connections for Good Campaign to Showcase Pride for the Month of June
The campaign runs across a number of Virgin Media Television’s programmes
3rd June 2021: June is Pride Month, when the world’s LGBT communities come together and celebrate the freedom to be themselves. At Virgin Media, as part of our ‘Connections for Good’ campaign, we are celebrating pride with a number of features and interviews across a selection of our top Virgin Media Television programming.
Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK star Tia Kofi has already spoken with the guys on Tuesday’s Ireland AM all about her experience on the show and to celebrate the arrival of both seasons of the hugely popular reality show on the Virgin Media Player.
On today’s episode of The Six O’Clock Show, Ciara King, our regular TV reviewer will speak about RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and Virgin Media’s own ‘Pride Collection’.
Jumping forward to Sunday’s edition of Ireland AM on June 13th, GAA referee David Gough and Ireland hockey and cricket player, Nikki Symmons will be discussing pride in sport.
Dublin drag queen and host of the ‘Poz Vibe’ podcast, Veda Lady will be on Monday’s edition of The Six O’Clock Show on June 14th talking about her new podcast and how it’s been set up to support people living with HIV, friends, families and allies.
Tuesday, June 15th will see Senator David Norris joining the guys in Ireland AM and to round out the week, on Saturday, June 19th, Psychologist Allison Keating will be giving advice to Ireland AM viewers on ‘coming out’.
Finally, June 26th will be ‘Pride Saturday’ on Ireland AM with international drag queen Courtney Act joining the show and viewers will also be given a fun tutorial from the Ireland AM kitchen on how to make rainbow ice-cream sandwiches.
As you can see, there are lots of exciting things planned to celebrate and support Pride right across Virgin Media Television for the month of June and we hope you can join us.
