Thursday, 15 January 2026 - Virgin Media Television is thrilled to announce that Irish rugby icon and Munster legend Conor Murray will join its expert rugby panel as an analyst for the upcoming Guinness Six Nations Championship, kicking off on 5 February 2026.

One of Ireland’s most decorated international players, Murray has enjoyed a distinguished career with Munster, as well as representing Ireland on the world stage. His achievements include five Six Nations titles including two Grand Slams, appearances at multiple Rugby World Cups and Lions Tours, cementing his status as one of the game’s greats.

Fresh from an illustrious playing career and with an intimate understanding of the current Ireland setup, Murray will offer unique insights and expert analysis throughout Virgin Media Television’s Six Nations coverage.

The Six Nations remains one of the most anticipated events in the sporting calendar, and Virgin Media Television will deliver comprehensive coverage across all platforms, ensuring fans never miss a moment of the action.

Brian Gleeson, Head of Sport at Virgin Media Television, said:

“Rugby evolves at an incredible pace and having someone of Conor’s experience who has only just stepped off the pitch gives us invaluable insight into the modern game and the current Ireland setup. It’s fantastic to add a Munster voice to our already strong panel of studio analysts, ably led by Joe Molloy and what an incredible way to kick off our coverage on Thursday night against France in Paris.
